Joy is the fruit of faith in God’s goodness to me.
Lack of joy is actually somewhere a lack of faith in Him.
That doesn’t mean we don’t have seasons of grief. Or that we’re “chipper” all the time, but that we have that deep resonance of joy. A joy that knows he provides for us, protects us, looks after us, and has good things in mind for us.
