When I was in college right outside of our chapel we had a large metal globe.  I loved that globe.  There was a saying attached to it that said, “The sun never sets on our alumni.”  A few years ago they removed it and replaced it with nothing.  Not sure where it went.  I often pondered on that globe and it’s statement.  How around the world everyday the sun was shining on one of the workers.

Tonight I was reading in Psalm 113:3

“From the coming up of the sun to its going down, the Lord’s name is to be praised.”

On Sunday sometimes I think of all the people around the world worshipping the Lord–from prisons to cathedrals.  But all week long the Lord’s name is to be praised.  So much so that it can be said that the sun never sets on the Lord’s praises from his people.  What a beautiful picture!
