I shouldn’t have watched it but I did. It was a grotesque injustice of what is right and wrong and the man was in prison for it. He should not have been.
But this happening all the more often. We are seeing it more and more. People going to prison for no good reason, and those who should be in prison are walking free and clear.
Additionally fear is also being used against people for ever increasing control. If people don’t comply, you are threatened that you will lose your job, your bank accounts, your children and more. It’s a very (unfortuantely) effective tool in tyranny and obedience.
The only problem is that the more you comply, the more the goal posts keep moving. What will be next?
This does not mean in any way to do harm in return. Or violence. Or break laws that are legitimate.
At the same time there are some things to stand firm on. To not compromise. And face whatever comes.
Noah did that.
Daniel did that.
Jesus did that.
Just makes sure it comes from standing firm on the truth. Not my truth, your truth or society’s truth. But on God’s truth. In righteousness. And in godliness.
Many around the world suffer for doing right. Many of the rest of us have not had that privilege. Yet.
But it’s coming. More and more and more and more.
Decide now.
Decide you will stand for righteousness. Accept the cost.
The price will be high.
But the price of compromise will be higher.
A prison with bars is not the only type of prison.
