Mary was freshly pregnant. As in it likely wasn’t even obvious. Yet when Mary met up with her relative, the baby in Elizabeth’s womb leaped for joy. It was John the Baptist. And one baby in the womb leaped for joy at another baby in the womb.

This was the joy that is in Jesus. Jesus is good news. Not bad news, sad news, scary news or hard news. Jesus brings life and life abundantly. Jesus brings forgiveness of sins. Jesus brings deliverance.

Jesus is joy.

First and foremost, he is to be welcomed with great joy. His coming to your life is the very best news you could ever receive. He longs to give us life, liberty and love.
