It really is a powerful proclamation.  Paul, Timothy and Silas had been in Thessalonica and it got hostile.  But then they went to Berea.

In Berea, the Jews were different.  They weren’t opposed but they were cautious.  Everything they did they checked with the Word of God.  They validated what they heard with the Scripture.

Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so (Acts 17:11).

No matter what faith you are in, the most noble thing we can do is examine the Scriptures.  Examine what they say.  Especially when it comes to the Word of God.

There is so much stuff out the internet that isn’t even true.  So much, and yet people take it as truth.

I’d like to encourage you to study and read and know the Word for yourself.  Don’t just depend on your leader.  God gave us His Word for a reason.
