If you receive the grace of God, find forgiveness for your sins, have been cleansed from sin, and reconciled back to God, do you still live for yourself? Do you still avoid letting it make any real changes in your life? Or do you reject it all together?
As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For he says,
“In the time of my favor I heard you,
and in the day of salvation I helped you.”
I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation” (2 Cor 6:1-2).
Paul is calling them to respond to God today. Now. Not a future date.
Perhaps they felt like they had more time. That’s not guaranteed.
Today is the day of salvation.
