To Know Jesus and Make Him Known

I Couldn’t Say This – Php 4:9

When people read this they think Paul might be arrogant. He says this:

“Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”

If you think it’s arrogant, stand up and say this to your family or your church or those around you. Try it just where you are by saying it out loud.

I couldn’t say it. Because there are things I don’t want people to imitate. But Paul so rested in the transformation in Christ that he could. Therefore I don’t think it’s arrogant so much as he had confidence in Christ’s work in him.
