There are times in our lives that are really, really, really difficult.  And we come to wonder if God cares.  Does He love us?  Because if he did, why doesn’t he do something about our situation?  Other people get miracles, why not me?  What about us?

He actually did do something.  The cross.  And he will set everything straight.  Eternity.  But for now, sometimes that means suffering.  Sometimes some people get miracles and sometimes we experience the fullness of the effects of this sinful world.

But even in our trials, we can hold onto this.  His love is eternal.  Eternal.

We don’t always understand his ways, but we can lean in and trust that He is love.  He can’t be anything but love.  It’s impossible for him to go against his nature.  And this love?  It’s eternal.

If you think too long on the reality that we will be in eternity, it can downright scare you.  Honestly.  Eternity is scary sometimes.  But we can rest in knowing that His love is there for all eternity.  It’s good to know.

“Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good.  His love is eternal” (Ps 136).
