This week I have been selected for jury duty. Timing wise it about couldn’t be worse for multiple reasons. I have thought long and hard about asking to get out and I think I could quite easily considering the reason. But then it hit me that in a world where up is down, left is right, good is evil and evil is good, there just may be someone who needs justice and a Christian voice. We NEED to be in the courtrooms. Christians must be there.
So tomorrow I will go to “selection.” I may or may not get chosen. If I do, I will trust the Lord to work out all the details involved in the timing of this week. But it is a great honor. A great privilege. And the very place the people of God need to be.
