Two bold requests.  1)  Jesus, grant us honor.  2)  Jesus, grant us a miracle.  For the one Jesus had a message.  For the other Jesus had compassion.  For the crowd there was  aggravation and irritation.  For Jesus there was attention and time.  The questions were as different as their responses, but in it is a message of Jesus’ life:

“The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

What if I myself have to this earth not to be served but to serve, and to give my life away for the sake of others?  Perhaps if I grasped this, I would complain a little less, because it’s not about my purposes, but the purposes of another.
