To Know Jesus and Make Him Known

Night Watch Worship – Ps 134

Was this an evening worship time in the temple?  Was it that there were people who were in the temple throughout the night (Exodus 27:21,Leviticus 8:35,1 Samuel 3:3)?  I don’t know on this one, but this is a short psalm to worship the Lord even in the evening.

Now praise the LORD, all you servants of the LORD who stand in the LORD’s house at night!  Lift up your hands in the holy place and praise the LORD!” (Ps 134:1-2).

Morning and night the LORD is to praised and worshiped.  In fact in Ps 119, David says he rose in the night to worship (Ps 119:62, 148).  He worshiped the Lord night and day and so did those who had charge of the temple in the evenings.

May the LORD, Maker of heaven and earth, bless you from Zion” (Ps 134:3).

Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night to worship Him?
