Elihu says a lot of things about God that God himself is about to say–that He is Mighty, Powerful, Creator all all that is in the earth and beyond what can be comprehended.
He hold firm in the belief of God’s goodness and justice:
“The Almighty–we cannot reach Him–He is exalted in power– He will not oppress justice and abundant righteousness. Therefore men fear Him. He does not look favorably on any who are wise in heart” (Job 37:23-24).
While Elihu is right in his understanding God, where he falls short is in how he perceived Job. He rightfully states that God is just and Job is wrong to say that injustice has happened, but he also assumed Job has done wrong. So while Elihu represents God much better than his bumbling friends, he does not do justice in representing his friend Job.
But brace yourselves, God is about to say something. It’s amazing the patience of God to allow all the other stuff to be said but he did.
