A person’s wisdom brightens their face
and changes its hard appearance.
When we think of someone wise we think of someone “old,” we think of unsmiling men that have answers for tough situations, we think of anything but someone who is smiling. Or has brightness and joy to their face.
But the wisdom of God is just this.
A brightening of the face. A turning of the hard appearance into a soft one.
It’s the heart of one whose burdens rest because they rest in the care of God.
This is the kind of wisdom I want.
