This is a psalm that is very much Israel focused.
Those who trust in the LORD are like Mt. Zion in that it cannot be shaken, it remains forever. The LORD surrounds His people.
The LORD will also protect the inheritance of Israel so that wicked will not rule it forever.
Then there’s a prayer for the LORD to bless those who do good, but turn aside from those who do upright. Again, that’s a bold prayer that you need to pray knowing you are on the right side of that prayer.
Then the psalm ends, “Peace be with Israel” (Ps 125:5).
Because peace for Israel is the theme for the psalms of ascent.
