Elihu is continuing on his train of thought that A) God is good and can do anything he wants, B) Job has done wrong and this is God’s justice and his goodness as it serves as warning and protection.
But then he says something that made me pause:
“Those who have a godless heart harbor anger” (Job 36:13).
And I thought on those words because it was a tough day personally. And while what Elihu says is sometimes true and sometimes isn’t, I think this is true here. The godless heart makes a home for anger. Butthe Godly will find the way to forgive and entrust God with justice.
