Do you think it is so far from us?

Think about the fall of man in Genesis 3. God gave man every single fruit possible – apples, oranges, apricots, grapes, peaches, pecans, and more. Everything. He just gave him one tree not to eat from.

Not only that but God put that one forbidden tree in the middle of the garden. To get it to it they had to walk through lavish abundance. They couldn’t miss all of God’s blessings.

But what was the tree they fixated on?

The one they couldn’t have.

That’s the cause of so much sin. We focus on what we do not have.

And when we do, we miss the abundance that we do have.
