To Know Jesus and Make Him Known

This is What Awaits You, O Lord – Ps 65:1

“Praise awaits you, O God, in Zion”

What an extraordinary and beautiful picture.  “Lord, when you come, praise awaits you.”  It’s like something good and special and wonderful is waiting for your arrival.  Like coming home after a long time away and your favorite people “waiting for you.”

“Praise awaits you, O God.”

Can we say, “Lord, when you come, praise awaits you.”

Or

“Lord, when I wake up, praise awaits you.”

What a beautiful thing to say.  Yes, I know the word “awaits” is an unknown meaning in the Hebrew.  Regardless, their guessed translation is such a beautiful thought.

“Praise awaits you, O Lord, whenever we meet together.”
