Under the new covenant, in Christ, we have a glorious ministry. Moses veiled, we do not. Instead we look to the glory of the Lord, and the more we look at him, the more we are transformed into his likeness.
“And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. Therefore, having this ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart” ( 2 Cor 3:18-4:1).
The more we look to the glory of the Lord, the more we are transformed.
Let me say that again.
The more we look to Christ, the more we are changed into His likeness.
Do we regularly behold the glory of the Lord? Or who He was in Scripture? When we do, this is how we will be transformed.
It is easy to look at life’s problems, challenges, and difficult people situations. It is easy to look at our bank account and wonder how it is all going to work out. It is easy to look at the things at work that are not great. But looking at these do not conform us to Christ.
It’s when we behold Him that we begin to change.
I need to change.
I want to change.
Lord, let me behold your face.
