To Know Jesus and Make Him Known

Would my Praises Be Missed? – Ps 30:9

“What gain is there in my destruction
in my going down into the pit?
Will the dust praise you?
Will it proclaim your faithfulness?
(Ps 30:9)

In this Psalm of David he is celebrating the deliverance of God and asking him to continue to deliver him.  In his appeal to God, he asks that if he is to die, what good would it do?  The earth would lose someone who praises Him and declares His faithfulness.  If he dies, will the dust praise Him?

And it made me think this morning, if I die, will the earth lose someone who praises Him?  Someone who declares his faithfulness?

“Sing to the Lord, you saints of his; praise his holy name” v. 4

Declare his faithfulness to the nations and the generations, O my soul.
