To believe God we must believe two things, not just one. First, we must believe that he exists. Second, that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. I think it was the second one that kind of took me by surprise this time. To please God we must earnestly believe he rewards those who seek him! An essential part of faith and of pleasing God is that we truly believe this aspect of His character. Not just that He exists. But that He is the God who rewards! It’s an essential part of our faith.
