I was thinking this morning how the Lord delivered David from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear. Every challenge was to strengthen his confidence in the Lord for the next battle–which was Goliath, Saul, the Philistines and eventually his very own son. Each victory gave him greater confidence in the Lord. He wasn’t fearful, ‘I don’t know if the Lord will deliver me this time,’ but confident, ‘As He has been, so will He be.’
