I feel this one deeply. Someone I care very much about was hurt in a very bad way about 20 years ago. From that, my friend chose to walk away from the Lord and has continued to go down a path of ever-increasing sinfulness. This person’s hurt still affects how they interact with others, of whom I have been the recipient. If someone could have intervened during that time 20 years ago, I truly believe that my friend could be saved from a life of death and sin that they now live. I continue to pray for them, hoping that my prayers will “avail much.” And meanwhile, while I cannot go back in time for this person’s situation, perhaps I can help in the life of someone else’s friend, brother, family, etc…
