“Grace and peace” is the opening that graces most of all Paul’s letters.  And it’s deeply powerful.

Grace is room to make a lot of mistakes without it affecting the relationship.

Peace is the result of that grace.

Peace is also the result of no longer being an enemy of God and under the wrath of God, but through Christ being a child of God and even a friend.  Peace is not just the absence of war, but a the presence of rich relationships.

Grace is the result of that peace.

Grace and peace are room to breathe without fear of loss of relationship.

Grace and peace allow room for great risks and great failures.

Grace and peace make love safe, secure and powerful.
