The very nature of love is sacrifice. The very nature of self is pleasure and indulgence. If we love ourselves and others, we don’t give our bodies to another in lust. Not just sexual lust but food lust, lust for other pleasures and more. Sacrifice is giving up something we love for something we love even more. There is a price to pay. Indulgence has no price. It’s a drunkenness of enjoyment. Enjoyment is good. But indulgence has no limitations or if it does, they are inconsistent ones.
