Two New Experiments

If you are reading this blog (wow!), you’ll know that I’ve been struggling with the tensions of going both wide and deep.  I think I started off going too wide and was missing the meat.   On the flip side there is value in going wide as to get the different teachings and perspectives.

So what I’ve decided to do is run an experiment.  I will be trying the 1 verse a day method with some Psalms.  This I will do part of the day in my desire to go deeper.  To go wide, I will slow down to the 5 year method.  While there isn’t a schedule, the average is about 4-5 verses a day.  I made my own schedule with the Matthew pericopes as best I could and if it goes well, I will continue coming up with a complete schedule for the rest of the New Testament.

So, we’ll see how it goes…!
