Mothers know.  And she had some instruction for her son.  Simply this–do not go to beer or wine, because these are not fitting for a king.  Or you may become intoxicated and influenced by beverage, perverting justice for all.

Remember your role as a king:

“Speak up for those who have no voice, for the justice of all who are dispossesed.  Speak up, judge righteously, and defend the cause of the oppressed and needy” (v. 8-9).
