To Know Jesus and Make Him Known

Confidence in the LORD – Prov 22

I should probably say more than the previous post, the truth of Scripture I’m still healing from, but there is another verse that stands out to me:

I have instructed you today–even you–so that your confidence may be in the LORD” (Prov 22:19).

I have met people who have peace and confidence in the Lord.  One of them is worked for Reinhardt Bonnke has his forward team lead to prepare the crusades.  Her confidence in the Lord is inspiring.  She now works with human trafficking victims and she’s perfect for the job.  She has absolutely no fear of traffickers as she has total trust in the Lord.  And the Lord hears and responds!  Her life has been crazy full of challenges but the LORD continues to provide in such miraculous ways.

I long for that kind of confidence.  That knowledge that I can go into any situation and He is with me.  I think many of our issues are because we lack that total trust in Him.  Instead we question why things turn out different than the way we want them.  Not small things, but profound things of the heart.

But the more we trust, the greater peace we have.  It doesn’t mean understanding, it means we trust.  Trust is made for when we don’t understand.   Not for when we do.
