1) Jesus was born of a virgin, supernaturally by the power of Allah according to the Quran. We don’t see this of Islam’s Messenger.
She said: “O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man hath touched me?” He said: “Even so: Allah createth what He willeth: When He hath decreed a plan, He but saith to it, ‘Be,’ and it is! (Quran Ali ‘Imran 3:47).
She said: “How shall I have a son, seeing that no man has touched me, and I am not unchaste?” He said: “So (it will be): Thy Lord saith, ‘that is easy for Me: and (We wish) to appoint him as a Sign unto men and a Mercy from Us’: It is a matter (so) decreed.” (Sura Maryam 19:20-21).
We know Islam’s Prophet was born of two natural parents. His father passed away shortly after his birth. Of his father, Islam’s prophet says this:
“Anas said :
A man asked : where is my father, Messenger of Allah? He replied! Your father is in Hell. When he turned his back, he said: My father and your father are in Hell” (Sunan Abi Dawud 4718)
His mother gave him to a wet nurse to raise him until age 2 and then she died when Islam’s prophet was 6 leaving him an orphan.
Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? (Ad-Doha 93:6).
2. The Islamic writings say Jesus was the only one untouched by Satan. It does not say this of Islam’s prophet.
Narrated Sa`id bin Al-Musaiyab:
Abu Huraira said, “The Prophet (ﷺ) said, ‘No child is born but that, Satan touches it when it is born whereupon it starts crying loudly because of being touched by Satan, except Mary and her son.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 4548)
But of Islam’s prophet and Messenger it says this:
“Anas b. Malik reported that Gabriel came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) while he was playing with his playmates. He took hold of him and lay him prostrate on the ground and tore open his breast and took out the heart from it and then extracted a blood-clot out of it and said:
That was the part of Satan in thee. And then he washed it with the water of Zamzam in a golden basin and then it was joined together and restored to it place. The boys came running to his mother, i. e. his nurse, and said: Verily Muhammad has been murdered. They all rushed toward him (and found him all right) His color was changed, Anas said. I myself saw the marks of needle on his breast” (Sahih Muslim 162c).
3. The Quran says Jesus was sinless. The Quran and hadith identify Muhammad as a sinner.
I am only a messenger of your Lord, to announce to you a faultless son (Surah 19:19).
About Islam’s prophet, it says this.
That Allah may forgive thee thy faults of the past and those to follow; fulfil His favour to thee; and guide thee on the Straight Way; (Quran Al-Fath 48:2).
—
So be patient, [O Muhammad]. Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth. And ask forgiveness for your sin and exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord in the evening and the morning (Quran/Ghafir 40:55)
—-
“So know, [O Muhammad], that there is no deity except Allah and ask forgiveness for your sin and for the believing men and believing women. And Allah knows of your movement and your resting place” (Quran 47:19).
—
Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) saying.” By Allah! I ask for forgiveness from Allah and turn to Him in repentance more than seventy times a day.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 6307)
—
“Narrated Anas bin Malik:
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to say, “O Allah! I seek refuge with You from helplessness, laziness, cowardice and feeble old age; I seek refuge with You from afflictions of life and death and seek refuge with You from the punishment in the grave” (Sahih al-Bukhari 2823).
4) Jesus is called the Messiah. Islam’s prophet is not.
{When the angels said, ‘O Mary, your Lord gives you good news of a Word from Him. His name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, honoured in this world and in the next and one of those who are granted nearness to God. (Quran Ali ‘Imran 3:45).
5) Jesus is called the Word and Spirit of Allah, but Islam’s prophet is not.
Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him (Quran 4:171)
6) Jesus was called a Sign and Mercy of Allah but it does not say this of Islam’s prophet.
7) According to the Quran Jesus could breathe life, give sight to the blind, heal lepers and raise the dead, but we do not see that with Islam’s prophet
“And (appoint him) a messenger to the Children of Israel, (with this message): “‘I have come to you, with a Sign from your Lord, in that I make for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah’s leave: (Quran Ali ‘Imran 3:49).
And I heal those born blind, and the lepers, and I quicken the dead, by Allah’s leave; and I declare to you what ye eat, and what ye store in your houses. Surely therein is a Sign for you if ye did believe; (Quran Ali ‘Imran 3:49).
The Messenger of Allah was asked why he couldn’t perform a sign, miracle or wonder and he responded.
And the Unbelievers say: “Why is not a sign sent down to him from his Lord?” But thou art truly a warner, and to every people a guide. (Quran Ar-Ra’d 13:7),
—-
They say: “We shall not believe in thee, until thou cause a spring to gush forth for us
from the earth, “Or (until) thou have a garden of date trees and vines, and cause rivers to gush forth in their midst, carrying abundant water; “Or thou cause the sky to fall in pieces, as thou sayest (will happen), against us; or thou bring Allah and the angels before (us) face to face: “Or thou have a house adorned with gold, or thou mount a ladder right into the skies. No, we shall not even believe in thy mounting until thou send down to us a book that we could read.” Say: “Glory to my Lord! Am I aught but a man,- a messenger?” Quran Al-Isra 17:90-93
8) Jesus ascended and did not die according to many in Islam, but we do not read that about the prophet of Islam
But Allah took him up to himself (Surah 4:158).
9) Jesus was granted “nearness to God,” but we don’t see that of Islam’s prophet
{When the angels said, ‘O Mary, your Lord gives you good news of a Word from Him. His name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, honoured in this world and in the next and one of those who are granted nearness to God. (Quran Ali ‘Imran 3:45).
10) Jesus sits in heaven as we can assume as he will “descend” and that is where he is now. Where is Islam’s Messenger?
Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, surely (Jesus,) the son of Mary will soon descend amongst you
12) Jesus comes to judge the world, but not the prophet of Islam. Why?
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, surely (Jesus,) the son of Mary will soon descend amongst you and will judge mankind justly (as a Just Ruler); (Sahih al-Bukhari 3448)
