The man fawns over the woman’s beauty, letting her know that every part of her is graceful and lovely. He ignores that she is “dark” from the sun and farmer tanned. He sees the beauty she carries and calls it out. He likens her to beautiful images that we are not familiar with. His descriptions are of someone who travels so it would seem that this is Solomon here (as opposed to the shepherder).
She responds with eagerness, a man’s greatest delight.
