We should study our own faith and the faiths of others. We don’t practice blind faith but evidential faith.
One of the key tenents of “proof” of the Quran, hadith and Islam’s messenger has been science. And certainly the people of the Islamic world have had extraordinary scientific breakthroughs. There is every right to be proud.
But are the Islamic writings scientific fact? Does it line up with what we know today based on modern technology?
In this new document 20 Islamic texts are listed with zero commentary. That way you can decide for yourself and make your own decision.
PS–This is not a point to disrespect, mock or speak or treat ill of others. The truth is most muslims do not know what their own texts say because they have not been allowed to read it for 14 centuries except in the ancient Arabic. And 95% do not know the Arabic. It’s only been in the last decade or so that because of the internet, this information is available. So use all info with gentleness, tact, grace and mercy.
SCIENCE IN THE ISLAMIC WRITINGS
Science has been one of the historical reasons that followers of Islam have claimed to be proof of the authority of Islam’s prophet and the authority of the Quran and hadith. Here are some of those scientific thoughts found in the writings.

WATER WITH DEAD DOGS, MENSTRUAL CLOTHS and EXCREMENT IS CLEAN
“The people asked the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم): Can we perform ablution out of the well of Buda’ah, which is a well into which menstrual clothes, dead dogs and stinking things were thrown? He replied: Water is pure and is not de!led by anything” (Sunan abu Dawood 66)
“Narrated AbuSa’id al-Khudri: I heard that the people asked the Prophet of Allah (ﷺ): Water is brought for you from the well of Buda’ah. It is a well in which dead dogs, menstrual clothes and excrement of people are thrown. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) replied: Verily water is pure and is not defiled by anything” (Sunan abu Dawood 67).

ONE WING OF A FLY HAS A DISEASE, THE OTHER WING A CURE
“The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said “If a house !y falls in the drink of anyone of you, he should dip it (in the drink) and take it out, for one of its wings has a disease and the other has the cure for the disease” (Sahih al Buhkari 3320)

ADAM WAS 30 METERS TALL, HUMANITY GOT THE WAY SLOWLY AFTER TIME, ONE DAY WE WILL BE THAT TALL
“Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said, “Allah created Adam in His picture, sixty cubits (about 30 meters (90 feet)) in height. When He created him, He said (to him), “Go and greet that group of angels sitting there, and listen what they will say in reply to you, for that will be your greeting and the greeting of your o!spring.”
Adam (went and) said, ‘As-Salamu alaikum (Peace be upon you).’ They replied, ‘AsSalamu-‘Alaika wa Rahmatullah (Peace and Allah’s Mercy be on you)
So they increased ‘Wa Rahmatullah’ The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) added ‘So whoever will enter Paradise, will be of the shape and picture of Adam, Since then the creation of Adam’s (o!spring) (i.e. stature of human beings is being diminished continuously) to the present time” (Sahih al-Bukhari 6227).
4 THE SUN SETS IN A MUDDY SPRING
“Until he reached the setting of the sun He found it set in a spring of murky water” (Quran/Yusuf Ali – al-Kahf 18:86)

“It was narrated that Abu Dharr said: “I was riding behind the Messenger of Allah while he was on a donkey, and the sun was setting. He said: ‘Do you know where this (sun) sets?’ I said: ‘Allah and his Messenger know best.’ He said: ‘It sets in a spring of water’” (Sunan Abu Dawud 4002).

THE SPINAL COLUMN DOESN’T DECAY
“Abu Huraira reported so many a hadith from Allah’s Apostle and amongst these one was this that Allah’s Messenger said: There is a bone in the human being which the earth would never consume and it is from this that new bodies would be reconstituted (on the Day of Resurrection). They said: Allah’s Messenger, which bone is that? Thereupon he said: It is the spinal bone” (Sahih Muslim 2955c).

“˹They were˺ created from a spurting !uid, stemming from between the backbone and the ribcage” (Qu’ran – Al-Tariq 86:6-7).

THE MOON SPLIT INTO TWO PIECES
“The Hour has drawn near and the moon was split ˹in two˺” (Quran – Al-Qamar 54:1)

“The moon was split ( into two pieces ) while we were with the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) in Mina. He said, “Be witnesses.” Then a Piece of the moon went towards the mountain” (Sahih al-Bukhari 3869, 3871; Sahih Muslim 2803)

PLANETS HIDE THEMSELVES
“I performed prayer with the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) when he was reciting in the Fajr, and it is as if I can hear him reciting: ‘So verily, I swear by the planets that recede. And by the planets that move swiftly and hide themselves.’”[81:15-16] (Sunan Ibn Majah 817).

BLACK CUMIN HEALS EVERY DISEASE EXCEPT DEATH
“Narrated Abu Huraira:
I heard Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) saying, “There is healing in black cumin for all diseases except death”” (Sahih al-Bukhari 5688).

UNBELIEVERS HAVE 7 INTESTINES
“Ibn ‘Umar reported Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) as saying that a non- Muslim eats in seven intestines whereas a Muslim eats in one intestine” (Sahih Muslim 2060a).

AN ECLIPSE IS BECAUSE SOMEONE DIED
“Narrated Abu Bakra:
Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “The sun and the moon are two signs amongst the signs of Allah and they do not eclipse because of the death of someone but Allah frightens His devotees with them”” (Sahih al-Bukhari 1048).

MOUSE AND THE BUTTER-FAT
“A mouse fell into the butter-fat and died. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) was asked about that. He said, “Throw away the mouse and the butter-fat that surrounded it, and eat the rest of the butter-fat” (As-Samn)” (Sahih al-Bukhari 5538).

STARS ARE MISSILES TO SHOOT DEMONS
“And indeed We have adorned the nearest heaven with lamps [lamps are the stars], and We have made such lamps (as) missiles to drive away the Shayatin (devils), and have prepared for them the torment of the blazing Fire” (Quran – al Mulk 67:5).
“Verily! We have adorned the nearest heaven with the stars (for beauty). And to guard against every rebellious devil. They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side. Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. Except such as snatch away something by stealing and they are pursued by a “flaming fire of piercing brightness (v. 6-10)” (Qu’ran – al-Mulk 67:5; 6-10)

LICK HANDS OR BE LICKED AFTER A MEAL
“Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said, ‘When you eat, do not wipe your hands till you have licked it, or had it licked by some‐ body else” (Sahih al-Bukhari 5456).

THE EYES ARE THE LEATHER STRAPS OF _
“Mu’awiya b. Abu Sufyan reported the Prophet as saying, “The eyes are the leather strap of the anus, and when the eye sleeps the leather strap is loosened.” Darimi transmitted it (Mishkat al-Masabih 315).

VOMIT IF YOU DO THIS
“Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) as saying: None of you should drink while standing; and if anyone forgets, he must vomit” (Sahih Muslim 2026).

LAUGHING TOO MUCH HARDENS THE HEART
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah“ said: “Do not laugh a lot, for laughing a lot deadens the heart” (Sunan Ibn Majah – Hasan 4193).

PEOPLE’S EYES SNATCHED OUT
“Abu Huraira reported:
People should avoid lifting their eyes towards the sky while supplicating in prayer, otherwise their eyes would be snatched away” (Sahih
Muslim 429).

RAINING GOLDEN LOCUSTS
“The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said, “When the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) Job (Aiyub) was taking a bath naked, golden locusts began to fall on him. Job started collecting them in his clothes. His Lord addressed him, ‘O Job! Haven’t I given you enough so that you are not in need of them.’ Job replied, ‘Yes!’ By Your Honor (power)! But I cannot dispense with Your Bless‐ ings’” (Sahih al-Bukhari 279).

HOT WEATHER IS FROM LITERALLY HELL
“The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said, “Delay the (Zuhr) Prayer till it gets cooler, for the severity of heat is from the increase in the heat of Hell (fire)” (Sahih al-Bukhari 3259).
