At every turn we are being invited into division. So much so that we have all had the cooling of relationships between friends and family and co-workers.
It is going to get worse. Each year we are going to be served another to divide over. That’s going to be especially true in 2024. And know this: It is a plan of the enemy.
United we stand and divided we fall is a true statement. It is one that applies to nations, the church, families and friends. Our strength in relationships and in community. When that is gone, we fall easliy.
It makes me think of the Hunger Games. They are pitted against one another. Sound familiar? But at a key moment when the main character wants to take the life of someone else, he tells her this.
“Remember who the real enemy is.”
We would do well to heed this advice.
