Dangerous Memorizing – James 4:1-3

Yesterday I began memorizing chapters 4:1-3 of James.  It’s saying that we fight with each other basically because we’re not getting what we want.  It’s true.  The biggest problem is that when anger is stoked in our spirit we usually look for an object of our anger instead of asking why we are angry in the first place.

I was once told that hurt ALWAYS precedes anger and when I look it from that perspective, it has often shown me the root.   Yesterday, it was my pride that was hurt.   So I went on a man-hunt with my slander weapon.  Bad.  Especially when I had to memorize these verses that are talking about anger.  Time to repent.
