To Know Jesus and Make Him Known

Forget Not – Ps 103

Do not forget all His benefits” (Ps 103:2).

Why does the psalmist say this?  Because we forget.  Often.  Our problems overtake us.  They flood us and we forget all that we are in Him.  We forget that this life is temporary.  We forget God.

In fact, when the Israelites strayed into sin, it was often because they “forgot” and “did not remember” the goodness and ways of God.

As for man, his days are like grass–he blooms like a flower of the field; when the wind passes over it, it vanishes, and its place is no longer known.  But from eternity to eternity the LORD’s faithful love is toward those who fear Him…” (Ps 103:15-19).

When the storm is dark and it seems like every area of our lives is not in a good place, we must remember

God is from all eternity.
Our lives are short.
Therefore remember to follow His ways.
And praise Him.

Praise the LORD, all His armies, His servants who do His will.  Praise the LORD, all His works in all the places where He rules.  My soul, praise Yahweh!” (Ps 103:20-22).
