“Greet all the saints in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me send greetings. All the saints send you greetings, especially those who belong to Caesar’s household.
One of the most beautiful things about being a Christian is His church – the fellow believers. Church would be terrible if it weren’t for the people. Think of how different life would be if every believer you knew was removed from your life? It would be a very different place.
Partnership matters. Paul sent his greetings to the believers. All the brothers inside and outside the prison that knew he was writing a letter to the Philippians sent their greetings. And even those in Caesar’s household sent their love in the kingdom.
- These were signs of kingdom partnership
- It was indicative that the gospel was growing
- It was statement that even in the heart of Caesar’s household there were those who believed
- The kingdom was advancing
And the glue that binds all of this together is the grace of Christ.
It started with grace – “Grace and peace to you” (v. 1:2), “It is right for me to feel this way about all of you since I have you in my heart…all of you share in God’s grace with me.” (1:7)
And it ends with grace – “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.” (4:23).
Amen
