But I have to believe there is so much more to you than what I see in the few pictures on the internet. Because when I typed in Guyana, I didn’t get nearly as much as I expected or wanted. Perhaps the world does not know enough about you. But for a country that is called “a land of many waters,” I’m sure there is so very much more.

I can see from the pictures I did find that there is a challenging history to your land and people. But honestly I do not really know your story well.

As far as the faith is concerned I read that it is 60% Christian and 25% Hindu. Interesting. It makes me wonder where that influence came into the picture.

I apologize I do not know more about you. Maybe one day I can visit and learn. But for now, let’s pray for you.

Lord, we pray for the peace of Guyana, and that they would know your love in a pure way. That your gospel would be firmly established among the hearts and minds of the people in such a way that it produces great joy and love for one another. Lord, we pray for healing of the wounds of the past. And a renewed commitment of hope for the future. Lord, let your shine on Guyana, and may ever purpose for them be fulfilled. Amen.
