The man was really poor, but it still was to be the best day of his life. In a society of honor though, an important man was coming, Jesus, and he couldn’t even provide the basics. But he invited him anyway. As well as all the disciples and Jesus’ mother. The more meant more he couldn’t provide for with food and drink.
It was only a matter of time before everyone would know that he as a groom couldn’t even provide the celebration essentials for his bride on the most important day of her life. It had to be a sock in the gut as a man. But that didn’t stop him. He just wanted to celebrate with Jesus anyway.
