Patient in Affliction – Rom 12:12

The last thing we want to do when we are in stress or distress is to be patient.  Everything in us wants that which is the problem to lift, leave or be done with.  It’s ok for a  short awhile, but for a year?  Two years?  Seven years?  More?

Suffering changes us.  I think for me it has changed me for the better and for the worse.  It definitely doesn’t leave you the same.  I pray the Lord redeems it all for his glory, and that the worse goes away.  We work towards that end.

But “patient” in affliction.  That’s quite a statement.  And if you are in that place, you know what I mean.

Be patient.
