Billy Graham wasn’t the best preacher I ever heard. But you know what? He carried something so that every time he preached, thousands upon thousands became followers of Christ.
There are others like that too. I know of greater preachers and teachers, and yet when some preach and teach, people flock to Christ. What’s the difference?
It’s their anointing.
In the mix is a person’s calling. It’s their character. And most importantly, it’s their communion with God.
I say communion and not just hours of prayer because I know people who spend literally hours in prayer every day. But I don’t sense the Presence of God on them any more than the next person.
The reason, perhaps, is the difference between communing and doing. Doing is the praying. Communing is listening, praying and obeying.
I long to carry His Presence.
I long to have an anointing that God works through me.
I must find again the secret place with God.
