What We Learn from the Book of Acts

1) Jesus is the fulfillment of the Law, the Prophets and the Psalms

2) That fulfillment is that Jesus would suffer, die, and rise again and that he would proclaim light to all peoples – to the Jews and also the Gentiles (non-Jews)

3) Forgiveness is man’s greatest need

4) Preaching repentance was central to their message

5) The apostle were on mission and nothing stopped them – not location, persecution or dangerous places.  They preached openly and publically

6) False accusation abounds wherever the Word is preached

7) Persecution often happens because the people are jealous

8) Prison is a bump in the road and a place to preach the gospel

9) We are brought before authorities not for our defense alone but to preach the gospel

10) Boldness.  The apostles had boldness and nothing stopped them preaching the gospel.

11) Integrity – They walked in righteousness with their lives, their finances and their obedience

12) The mission does not end.
