Honored to receive a visitor from Iraq. There is so much history there in so many ways–Biblical history, current history and more. So many conflicting thoughts and feelings.
On occasion I have met Iraqis here in the US. Really quite wonderful people and truly great representatives of your nation. Although at the same time they had many wounds. Wounds from within their country and wounds from without.
Your land we think of as only dessert and camels, but there is so much more to it.
But let’s think of Christ for a moment. Let’s pray for this beautiful land and a more beautiful people than the Western world understands.
Lord, move among your people and call the Iraqis to yourself.
Thank you so much for visiting. I don’t know if you will ever see this, but if you do, I am grateful for you. Whether you are an Iraqi or an expat. I’m glad.
